Mars Observers Cafe
One of the amateurs’ greatest strengths is the sheer number of observers located around the Earth that permits 24-hour surveillance of all Mars longitudes. The International Mars Patrol (I.M.P.) is a cooperative program by individual professional and amateur observers located in many foreign countries and U.S. territories. Established in the 1960’s, by Charles F. ("Chick") Capen and with Leonard J. Martin of the Lowell Observatory Planetary Research Center; the I.M.P. has contributed many thousands of observations of Mars. We thank the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers (ALPO) for their support. If you have any suggestions after surfing here please email me with comments at firstname.lastname@example.org.
